Attention! LuckyOliver will be shutting down. All purchased tokens must be used before May 15th.
Woohoo! Yeah, I know that's not the way you're *supposed* to start off an 'about us' section, but it's the general vibe around LuckyOliver these days. I think we're on the verge of something big, but we need to borrow a bit of your talent.
First, a bit of background that'll show you the path we've taken to get where we are right nowwoohooing, ready to roll up our sleeves and get this whole world domination thing underway: We've helped more than 50 startup businesses make it out of the startup phase alive and thriving. And I myself have worked in the creative industry for 8 years, and played with pixels and photography for almost 20. I've run ZURBphotos, a web site that lets me share my passion for images with other folks. I've shared the images there for free with anyone who's been willing to simply drop me an e-mail and ask.
"But what if I really tried to take this passion to a much larger community?" I asked myself (though not out loud, as the guys at ZURB already make fun of me enough.) "Sure, there are companies out there that are selling images and stuff," my self silently answered, "but there's plenty of room for improvement." And that, my friend, is what this new challenge is about.
Our company, "LuckyOliver" will be mother of all photo-selling web sites. LuckyOliver is the image site you'll write home aboutassuming that you're reading this in your office. It's the peaceful yen to the yang of expensive (and much harder to sell) rights managed photography. It's the beautiful talking parrot in a pet store cage full of hen-pecked tweeting parakeets. Or something like that.
Now, I realize that even with my own superpowers (which include coffee snarfing, bocce throwing and the ability to misspell even the most common words) I can't make LuckyOliver happen by myself. That's why I've gathered together a whip-smart team to take this project from goldfish to piranha in short order.
And this is where you come in. As chief instigator at LuckyOliver, I want to say this: You've gotta be a part of it. It wouldn't be the same without you, literally.
What's the next step? Well, take a look at our photographer's submission guide, then submit your photos. Send an e-mail to a friend and ask them to do the same. Check out how you get paid. Then go out and take some more photos.
From myself and the entire gang of Olivers, we're looking forward to working with you!
